It’s been a sad start to the week. The horrific events in Las Vegas hit close to home. We are heartbroken for everyone involved and affected by this unthinkable event of horror that took place. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.
So this week I’m talking office-friendly business looks! I’ve always loved getting dressed up for work. Growing up, I spent my summer and winter breaks as a file girl in my aunts office. I will never forget my first day. I was 15 and my mom made me wear some tweed, a restricting sweater and fur. I was decked to the nine and in tears walking into my first day but she always told me to dress the part and own it. Ever since then I’ve had the same attitude and have been obsessed with finding deals on work clothes. I get excited when I find the perfect box cut dress to wear with a sock booties or that amazing tweed skirt with a leopard pump.
What you wear to work says a lot about your personality and how you carry yourself. Regardless of your position, it’s important to dress the part, be professional and look your best.
I recently found this easy bell-sleeve blouse, paired with a high waisted ankle pant. The blouse is so universal. I can’t wait to try it with jeans or a skirt this fall. Unfortunately it’s sold out but this one is a great alternative. The ankle pant is super comfortable and would go great with a knit sweater or jean jacket and white T. I’ve had these white pumps forever. They are actually wedges and cut out on the sides. I got them forever ago at BCBG which is unfortunately closing their stores (so sad about that btw but check out their fall essentials and sale going on). A cute white sneaker or a comfortable mule would look great too!
This outfit is comfortable, chic and effortless. Whether I’m sitting behind my computer, scheduling an interview on the phone, or chasing down people in the newsroom, I incorporate my personal touch and style everyday at work.
